Hi all
In a few weeks the movie I'm working on will be printed, so finally I'll have some time to spend on my projects.
I'm planning to record a few motorcycles, this and this and I'm start to organize how to do that.
This is the first time I try to record any vehicle/motorcycle so any help/suggestions are welcome. I already read the deenen special on recording car and read any info I found on the books I have.
A few questions:
- How many recordist? I'm thinking about two + one onboard.
- which microphones? I'm planning to use a schoeps ms setup (mk4+mk8) and a sennheiser ms (mkh60+mkh30). plus a dpa 4061 onboard + some kind of dynamic mic (shure beta57? something else?) I have to rent some of those mics so any advice is wellcome!
- Any tip for the "performances"(what speed. changing gears. slow speed high speed. which manouvers?)?
- Where to put the onboard mics so that they get the best possible sound and the least possible wind noise? What protection I should use? blimp? foam?
thank you in advance, I'll let you know (and hear) what will happen
