@aparente001, my understanding is that condenser mics tend to pick up a lot of background noise compared to dynamic mics. Dynamic mics will mostly only pick up what's right in front of them, and close. Professional studios can get away with using condenser mics since the rooms are acoustically treated to block outside noise, and then absorb and diffuse internal sounds; but most podcasts are recorded in homes where those treatments aren't practical.
