Exporting in wav or Is exporting to WAV and converting mp3 in wavfrom MP3 to WAV the same thing?

I hope it's the right section.

Let's say I have a music project to export, is.
Is there any quality difference between:

  • Directly exporting the project in a WAV PCM format
  • Exporting the project in an MP3 format and then converting it into a WAV PCM format

isIs there any quality difference? I understood yes, cause from mp3MP3 to wavWAV it takes down a lillil' of the quality due to the mp3MP3 origin file from the conversion. But
