You say "CD player", but they are playing files, .wav s probably off USB sticks. So any music files can be played. But in this video, she is very active, using bits from different songs to create a 'mashup' piece. she uses loops and stutters, and a lot of phasing effects and delays from the mixer, but any songs used are listed. I'd have to know the songs to know exactly what she's doing. Mostly, she plays with effects though. All of the timing and cue points have been set up before hand, by the way.

i'm also thinking to start with simple mixing. currently using chceking with virtal DJ. youtube.com/watch?v=7TfudIAdETg at 2:18 and 2:34 both background music(beats) are sample music or on cd player music ?

With balancing bass on both channels. The beats are just the start of the second track(12" or Extended mixes of songs will have an extended intro(usually the dry beats), purely for smooth mixing). P.S. This lady does very simple mixing, with easy-to-mix music. | |
