I assume this is the Schoeps mic you're referring to? digital.schoeps.de/en/products/supercmit If that mic works as well as they say it does, then perhaps audio of these algorithms isn't that much of an issue? Regarding the choir, it's my understanding that the algorithms can be tuned to adjust the wideness of the beam. Perhaps 12 beams is far too many in my example. For room sound, I'd imagine I would still somehow mix in (possibly from the same mic array) the sound of the room itself. I guess I don't understand enough of how it works to understand the problem. | |
