more.
Dec 8, 2012 at 20:28 comment added Staann @Mark: soundcloud.com/thencamenow/sundog-0 Can you tell me what type of algorithm I will have to learn to get the same kind of result ?
Dec 6, 2012 at 0:53 comment added Staann I've been googling a lot :) but I want to refine my search now with the kind of informations you gave about "Framework". It's so vast...I don't know where to start ! What are the usual algorithms people use when building an Ambient/Generative system ?
Dec 4, 2012 at 15:00 comment added Internet Human @Staann I'd just grab Google and go. Building a system is just like building any other piece of software, you can utilize and figure out different types of algorithms, if they just fit for the purpose. So I'd start by working through examples (see if you can find online course pages on algorithmic composition, books or tutorials/"patches" for your chosen framework), learning the framework and supplying that by studying relevant algorithms and trying to implement those on your own. Take small steps. The algorithms (and code) should be transferable to any framework and programming language.
Dec 4, 2012 at 13:18 comment added Mark Durham Well, perhaps others are interested but this is mainly a sound design forum so this is kind of on the edge. They're quite big questions so I'll formulate an answer over the next day or two and post back.
Dec 3, 2012 at 20:36 comment added Staann @Mark: looks like you're the only one interested by this subject :) Can you explain what a stochastic process is ? Is it possible to know how you approach this kind of composition ? What are the tools you use and what are the books I should read?
