I have an AKAI MPK mini that I want to perfom with my DJ controller, which is a Hercules DJControl Inpulse 500.

However, I want to use a software with my AKAI keyboard to play piano or synth and etc. But, my DJ controller sound card works until I connect my MPK mini; when the connection is made, my controller's sound card stops working, and I have no idea, why.

I am looking to make my piano/synth software's sound output from my DJ controller's sound card because this would be the ideal setup for performing with my gear, but like I said, it seems like I am doing something wrong, but I just don't know what.

  • You should look what happens in the device manager of Windows (if you are using Windows). Are both devices well recognised.
