Please direct me to an appropriate site if this is off topic.

I have been checking out some of the footage and recordings posted on-line following the pro-Trump riot in the United States, and one of them is when the United State Senate adjourns.

At about 35 seconds into the video, the audio cuts out, but if you download or record it and normalise it or amplify it to +60 Db of its original volume, it sounds clipped and distorted.

Was this likely caused by any damage to the equipment inflicted by any of the people that were in the premises?

  • IMO, it's probably on-topic, but I'm doubtful of a specific answer being possible.
